Do You Trust God With Your “Now”?

Recently, I’ve been experiencing some monumental shifts in being…adapting and acceptance. Just a few months ago, I was in bewilderment wondering what my next move was going to be in my career, my relationships and my ambitions. It all seemed like I was walking my way through a foreign hallway blindfolded AND in the pitch dark.

Have you ever been there? In that hallway.. feeling the walls for for a sense of direction… any semblances of familiarity and not finding any?

As you can imagine, my petitions and prayers centered around me anxiously asking God to just show me the way.

In that moment, I was reminded of the scripture in Philippians 4:6-7 : “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

And there it was. The directive clear and concise.

1. Be anxious for nothing.

2. Prayer and fasting, and talking to God about what He already knows we need gladness. 3. Allow the peace of God to surpass my limited understanding. Simple. And when I remember the simplicity in these instructions for being, I can take a deep breath, put one foot in front of the other and start back trusting God with my NOW.

And everything works out exactly as it needs to.
